We worked with Northeastern Engineering to create a video showcasing their new manufacturing lab. Northeastern’s Festo Cyber-Physical Factory Lab is a microcosm of the factory of the future, and it was awesome to spend a day in the lab capturing cutting-edge technology in action.
The Festo Cyber-Physical Factory Lab is a state-of-the-art facility that trains students on the latest technologies in manufacturing. It provides hands-on experience on advanced manufacturing topics, allowing students to design a product from start to finish.
This lab offers a unique opportunity to explore intelligent manufacturing, robotics, and human-machine communication and collaboration. This lab prepares students for future co-op and internship programs and teaches them that manufacturing is not just about manual labor but also about utilizing human intelligence to enhance the capabilities of machines.
We spent a day conducting interviews and capturing footage of the lab in action, including shots of the 3D printers, laser cutters, and robotic arms. The final product is a video Northeastern can use to entice current and potential engineering students, showing them the future of manufacturing.
