For Today’s #IHAQ, we had Carlos Bido from 10×10 Studios back to talk about what aspects of the video production process are often overlooked.

Most people think the production process has three steps: pre-production, production, post-production. Carlos says that two additional steps are sometimes missed.

The first being clarity, or the overall goal of the video.

  • Who is your target audience?

  • What is your message?

  • What do you want your audience to do after watching?

And the final overlooked step in the production process is distribution.

Knowing how you are going to get your video out there is really important. There are many platforms to consider, and videos that may work well on certain platforms may not perform well on others. You also need to promote your video. Use your built-in following to send as many eyeballs to your new video as possible.

These two steps are often overlooked, but focusing on them will help you maximize your video marketing efforts.
